Gille Simon what's up with the French guy?

Image
Granted most people probably couldn't name any of these guys....but these are the top players in the Men's Association of Professional Tennis players from 2008. Gilles Simon is the second from the left in between Davidenko from Russia and Andy Murray from Great Britain. Guess who's home country is hosting the second Grand Slam of the year? The French Open draw comes out on Friday. Gilles is the current #1 French men's player and #7 over all in the world rankings. I could be wrong, but I don't even think the French know who this guy is. On the Tennis Channel they have very little or nothing to say about him. I am intrigued by this as it is the French Open, he is a top 10 player, and he's really cute! I'm going to be watching to see how he does and if there is going to be more buzz about him. The guy has sex appeal... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XPh3JCy_l8s check out #3 in this top ten karaokes from Roland Garros a few years back.

One of my favorite four letter words: Yoga

I went to a Beachbody huge annual Coaches Summit seminar this week. I had an aha moment when I was interacting with one of the main security guards. He was complaining about a lot of physical problems...one of the main ones being a hernia...which along with his other ailments caused him excurciating pain. My first advise to him was to find his breath. My second was a four letter word...yoga. Yoga causes me to acknowledge the state of my body. Where am I tight? What do I need to let go of to relax my body and bend and twist for the next pose? How does that affect my emotions and how does it relate to things that I would be well served to let go of? I told him that the hernia could be a result of holding onto things he may need to release of ease off of...I'm not positive because his response was semi-verbal...but I got the idea I'd hit the nail on the head.

There's A New Gym in Town

I think the gym is a total God send and wake up call to how boring and non social my life has gotten. It is the bomb but I'm sure it is just the beginning! I went to 5 classes this week and I will add one more next week..yoga 3 times, ab blaster once, sculpt once and on water night i'm going to try the aqua class. I also did cardio for an hour about 3 times...kinda lost count...but i love the video cycle thingy...different cool race courses...and the eliptical machine and the rowing machine. I have a treadmill at home so i don't go on that one. I was down to 173 on thursday which is about where i have been hovering...so hopefully all this activity will make all the difference and get me down below 160 by my birthday next month on th 6th.

When Disaster Strikes

It's all relative. My computer is dying. For me this is a disaster because it disrupts my interaction with my computer. The computer has changed so my relationship to my computer has changed and I had to buy a back up computer so one way or another my son will have a laptop for Christmas. Maybe I just need to reinstall the operating system but this computer is still dead because it is different, it is change, it is good. In Baghdad today record numbers of bodies, 76, have been discovered slain and dumped or distributed throughout the city. Two positive public figures, a beloved entertainer and an Olympic coach for cycling, were targeted and assassinated . And most recently a suicide bomber targeting Iraqi police recruits killing about a dozen people. Now this is disaster. Getting kidnapped off the street or out of your car and then killed is a major disruption. My computer and me versus someone going about their day to day business and another deciding to kill or kidnap the...

Prince at the Rio in Las Vegas...BABY.

I had a great time despite being deserted by my date who didn't seem to be having a very good time. Maybe I wouldn't have gotten to meet Prince if the guy would have hung around anyway. At least he kept me company for the 3 hours we spent waiting for Prince to take the stage. Honestly the show was a long in coming...but I danced a lot and I almost got into a fight and then I got to stay up all night to wait for the monorail to operate...gosh I'm cheap. But I really thought my date would come back and get me. Club 2131 is a great place to see a show. Worth every penny really. I can only say that because I think relative to the experience $125 general admission is a bargain. Relative to say the same amount of money for a foot massage at the spa that morning it was an incredible bargain. I should have popped $375 for the table and bottle service too. Maybe my date would have stayed if he had a chair. That is how much an 80 minute body service is at the spa and they d...

Welcome the Power of Peace

I believe that there is a strong movement afoot for peace to spread world wide in the hearts of each individual who currently lives and breathes. As we join together in this intention the evidence begins to mount all around us. Death squads are looking for solutions that allow their enemy to prosper as well as themselves. People who feel offended by the morals or behaviors of others that aren't in alignment with their own are starting to examine those feelings and find compassion for the other points of view. In doing so everyone is finding that differing morals and beliefs do not take away from our own beliefs but grounds us in our connections to others and allows us to express ourselves positively and powerfully in the contrast.
